This is the first kind of digital art I ever really messed with in seriousness. Not the first kind of visual art, but what of my childhood doodles aren't lost are going to remain carefully hidden. With that said, I don't have many of the early attempts at this sort of thing, either. But I did name the site after them, in a roundabout way, so their influence lives on, even if their Mandelbrot fractal spam does not. I think it's also probably the best kind of visual art I make, though not all of it is golden. Actually I don't think any of it uses the color gold...

These were all created entirely in Paint.NET, although two made use of the trial version of Geometer's Sketchpad as a guide and one was animated in GIMP. Depending on your screen size, some of these images will be shrunk, but I have tried to present them in full-size. I think they just look better that way, even though it might make navigating the page a little less convenient.
